Successful Heritage Day 2024

We hosted a very successful Heritage Day focused on the “Agricultural History of Trafalgar Township”. It was held at the restored Palermo schoolhouse located near Dundas & Bronte Road in Oakville. We had a great turnout of families with kids getting free popcorn, apples and skipping ropes.

Kids were able to pet local farm animals, wash clothes as they did on the farm, make their own skipping rope, wrote on chalk boards in the school, rang the school bell with the head teacher, watched the blacksmith in his portable shop, found the queen bee in the live beehive, “milked” the cow, bought candies and goods at the country store and much more. Visit us next year!
